NH, I'm not sure how you would have the Franklin Cider Apple actively growing for you, especially that old if it was only one discovered more recently. I believe this was the first year it was a commercially available for sale.

I think they'll be available retail next year, but for this year the only way to get any is to order 50 from Starks wholesale To bad, I didn't order any trees this year and I was getting the itch to plant more. No need for 50 though. I'll wait till next year. Their marketing is in high gear. If you graft I can send you some from my tree. If you're leaning towards deer vs cider them mine hang longer than his.

That's next on my to learn list.

Well let's see if Appleman showsup on the deerhunter forum. I was waiting for that too, hasn't happened yet. Maya had been largely absent from H-T until recently. He had posted a lot more on DHF. I'm probably just too paranoid Myself i would personally enjoy to see any of those guys here. Appleman says alot about the FCA but I guess I would too if I had a tress tested and a huge nursery bought it because it was the best registered cider apple found growing in the states? Least from everything i've seen. I mean I like my apples that are old but who's to say you guys will? Guess i'm not a pushy used car salesman though either. Mostly if we could get CrazyEd, Greyphase, Aerospace, Lot2Learn, & Maya I would be thrilled. Mostly because besides a few of you they are the apple people i trust most.

Ed won't leave HT, he said it when he was invited to Jim's forum, so I don't think you will see him here any time soon. The others would likely be a tossup as well?

I'd welcome any of the "fruit tree guys" from over there. I seriously doubt any of them that weren't on Jim's forum would join this one, but I could be wrong.

Yes I'm not doubting that at all that they won't come. I'm just saying thats the only reason I stay on HT for those guys because I do enjoy conversing w/ them as well.

You'd have liked Ben from Maine. He was short and to the point but, a wealth of info.

BV. You'd have liked Ben from Maine. He was short and to the point but, a wealth of info. Yes I remember his posts from the QDMA forum when I first started. (If I have to keep typing that acronym i'm going to vomit). I read almost all of his posts about apples, I wish someone knew him or could located him.

I should mention Ben & I had a conversation when QDMA forum folded, on his facebook through PM at his orchard account. I gave him the information for HT back then thinking thats where we'd all go. False....... I reconstituted that conversation today since Ben could not get his HT account to work if he would be interested in coming here. By all means feel free to message him on facebook and invite him. The more folks we get to ask him to come on over the better. Ben would be a huge asset to a forum again since he stopped posted on QDMA forum long ago.

My NH Gold apple tree still is holding 100 + apples. I knocked off a dozen or so for the deer on Saturday. My brother said there were two deer under it at 530pm on Friday.
