Funny how priorities change.. Hunting and archery used to be at the top of my priority list. Would hunt hard all season. I have made a conscious effort to put family and God before any of that. I tend to wait for cold fronts to hunt now. Unless its Nov that is! Working on the ambulance for a living has me jaded at times. Last thing I want to do is be around people. I go absolutely nuts if I don't get some loner time here an there. A trip to the farm or going to mow 10-12 lawns is always the cure. Everything I do at the farm is an effort to make it better for my kids hunting experiences. Seems like the guys that never figure out that you have to put your loved ones before your hobbies always end up divorced. Hope no one takes offence to that. Just an observation

God's first two commands to Adam were to not trust Eve and to be the chief steward of the habitat. The book of Genesis tells us so. Chapter 1, Verse 26: God said, 'Let us make man in our own image, in the likeness of ourselves, and let them be masters of the fish of the sea, the birds of heaven, the cattle, all the wild animals and all the creatures that creep along the ground. Let them wander the forum desert for 10 years and they will settle in my kingdom, and it will be called DeerHabitat.FreeForums.Net'

You put everything else before your spouse and family and eventually shit goes south. You reap what you sow Mo:)

Just an observation Jordan, You must get sick of some of the crap you see on the job day in and day out. Approx 10% of what I run at work is what I consider a true medical emergency. We run ALLOT of BS. That gets old.. But then that 1 in 10 call comes where you actually get to utilize your training and attempt to make a difference in someones life and its all worth it. Not necessarily blood and guts type stuff although we had a homicide and a MVA fatality this shift. I take allot of pride in cardiac diagnosis and treatment or getting that elderly lady with the broken hip to the hospital as pain free as possible. I do get sick of people that consistently abuse their bodies over the course of their lives to the point that they are disabled both physically and mentally.. They get me aggravated at times. But I have no doubt I was meant to do this for a living. Wouldn't have it any other way... Oh and reports suck. Worst part of the job!

^ Hmmmm.....gotta give that some thought. I seem to do better on grouse when I ground pound 'em then when they fly. There are some great snowmobile and UTV trails thru the woods up on the old grade. Fun to travel thru that area.....and just take in the sights. I always thought I would find more time to call crows up that way....but never seem to get it done. Exciting shoot w/ those crows....and they are not that smart up that way - I think they have jack pine savage blood-lines. Only so many brain cells were distributed in that Jack Pine Savage country and sum a du udders git two minnie. nun lift fur du ris a ass.
