That's good news. I'm trying to make my trees as healthy as they can be so they grow and produce quicker.

FB.
Check for borers if you can. You'll see sawdust on the bark. They can kill or set trees back. The paint makes them choose other trees. If you find borer holes take a paper clip and push it in the hole to kill the larvae and maybe spray with sevin.

Can a guy just spray paint them? I've never tried or heard or it being done. I do 50% white latex and 50% joint compound mud so I doubt it would spray because its thicker.

Can a guy just spray paint them? No, spray paint doesn't breathe like latex.

In regards to Apple Borers, the Fedco site recommends Neem oil and liquid Kelp. Might be a good preventative. I found this searching for information about keeping an Apple journal. www.fedcoseeds.com/trees/orchard_spray_example.htmIs anybody keeping annual notes on their apple trees. I thought it might be a good idea to keep a simple journal so you would have the history of how the trees did based on the year. Seems like 2017 was a good year for apple trees, good rain and I had almost no pest problems. Maybe pests are worse when its dry and hot?

FB,
That's a good link. I'm trying to figure out a game plan similar to Philips and that helps. The issue with just spraying is yiu may get sun scald damage so I'd still recommend painting if you have time.
