I would think the biggest issue is do you have enough power to run it. Which is exactly why I don't want to go any bigger. 60" should be about right.

As long as you can cover your tracks and have enough power I think it will be a great addition to your eq. Not 100% sure but you should be able to narrow up the wheel base on your to tractir if needed.

Specs on my tractor say tread width in back is 61" Here are the specs Dimensions: Weight (operating): 2,966 lbs [1345 kg] Weight (ballasted): 4,250 lbs [1927 kg] Wheelbase: 67 inches [170 cm] Front tread: 44.9 to 59.5 inches [114 to 151 cm] Rear tread: 45.7 to 61 inches [116 to 154 cm]

Perfect width. General rule of thumb is 5 HP for every foot implement width. Although with a tiller or a snow blower you can go at some pretty slow ground speeds.
I have a 33 HP tractor and I love 5 foot wide implements as they cover my tread width....yet I can get between trees and such when mowing trails in the woods and so forth. Also, 5 foot implements are cheaper to purchase and maintain......ideal for small operators.

So the guy is gone till Sunday afternoon. I may run down to Steven's Point and look at it with the trailer and see how worn the tines are then and maybe pick it up.

We have a land pride and love it. We have lots of rocks and it has taken a beating. I personally would never get the reverse tine tillers since they do not walk over rocks. Seems like a good price.
Is it a slip clutch or bolt system?

Slip clutch or shear pin? Don't know. The guy can't answer any questions or talk about it till Sunday as he says he is out of town till then and get ahold of him then. Why do people post shit and then can't even talk about it. Ugh He did answer it is not a reverse tine model. Anyway what should I look for?

Just a word to the wise, tillers and wet ground don't do well. Its plug city! Thanks Mo. One reason I think I can do this with a tiller is two neighbors in the general area both use tillers with good luck. So? I guess I can always sell it right?

Good 3point equipment bought at a fair price is easy to sell again if you decide to move it again. I tried a plow which didnt work out.....sold it for a $50 profit. Also a snow plow for a $500 profit......and I sold a lime spreader for a $400 profit. Among other things. Buy right / sell right. Trick is.....dont overpay for this stuff. Lots of slightly used stuff out there.....just shop carefully and buy the good stuff that most folks will want. The 5' equipment is in high demand as there are lots of small tractors and small operators that can use this stuff. Besides....it's kinda fun to be a machinery jockey.

Have a land pride 5' reverse tine tiller, and pull it behind 30 HP Kubota. Works great, but have a hydo tractor, which is a necessity for my ground. You can listen to the tractor work,to decrease the ground speed as needed. Have had the tractor stall out only going down 2", but rocks will stall it out right now!!!

Ok I know this is part of buying shit used but this really pissed me off. Guy told me to message him Sunday and we can talk about it because he was gone. So I took the money out of the bank and was ready to go sunday. He sends me a message this morning it is sold. I asked how can it be sold when you told me you are gone.
