I fully believe those comments were steeped in sarcasm. biden is doing all the right things to get medical staff, teachers, and Federal employee's to quit their jobs and take up different careers. Instead of villainizing these people he should be incentivizing them (regardless of their vax status), instead he's firing people who are already in short supply. Yeah....I suppose your right. But no winks or grins here. I am just a bit touchy right now on these issues. I do support freedom and our abilty to choose in our medical lives. It's just that the narrative that comes from many folks here is off base allot.....and I know their positions on vax. (edit: yep we are all off base at times) Many are putting politics in ahead of their health care....and some have a few sheep that follow them. Kinda sad.....IMO. Rant over. Foggy, I know you've had a lot of stress related to hospitals lately. Your stories of them basically being a war zone outside (and inside) is frightening. This scenario has come from politics; defund police, revolving door policies, critical race theory, BLM, etc. As fed up as you are when you visit probably has no comparison to those professionals who work there daily. An ungrateful president saying "get the vax or loose your job" to THESE people will be the last straw for the last pillars holding the system up. So, I get it. Even with those I don't agree with I understand how it is political. Our president has forced it to be political. He has gone the complete opposite of his campaign promise of uniting the country and driven directly to the opposite. 24% chance of rain tonight. Best chance we've had in a while. Highs for the week in the low 90's. Kind of nice to get some relieve from the heat.

We have accumulated less than average so far, but it's been pretty evenly spaced out (instead of the usual wet spring and dry summer). We are more green than normal at this time. In a normal year we would expect to get quite a few slow drizzly days starting in Sept/Oct. I'm starting to think it's going to be a dry fall but we will see.

Either way, it's critically important we drive down our healthcare staffing levels as low as governmentally possible before rona season 3 kicks off this winter. I also think we should bulldoze some hospitals and clinics. If they don't exist, you can't get infected there. ^ Idiotic comments from my perspectives on recent events. Save that chit. Edit....now due up Mo to tell me I am a libtard. You guys are so off base and out of touch here. My comment wasn't pointed at you. It was some sarcasm on the idiocy of purging our hospitals and clinics of willing and able workers when we're going to really wish we had them back in the very near future. I'm not a healthcare consumer right now, but if I were, I'd be raising hell about the government reduction of our capacity to deliver care.

It seems like some hospitals weren’t recently closed in the Twin Cities?

Two people that graduated with MY DAUGHTER are in Abbott Northwester Hospital....with ventilator tubes down their throat and in serious trouble. Both have families with young children at home and both were healthy young successful people just a week ago. (EDIT: I'm told they were both anti-vax based on religious grounds, I think.) My daughter is beside her self. One was a star athlete in football and basketball and nearly anything he attempted. I think he also was a baseball pitcher.
Stay healthy. You do not want into the hospitals currently. Bad juju.

Morning farm report on the radio was talking about all the wheat that isn't in yet due to hot/dry. Not a huge deal (yet) for grain producers but starting to be a thing for grazers.

Times running out to get this remedied the easy way. Hate to see this get fixed with snow. My place does not infiltrate quickly, so this is exceptionally bad and will take a long time to get straightened out. This business has impure thoughts of doing more digging yet this fall running through my head. Or I could just settle down and wait for spring and enjoy it for what it is for the rest of season.

Just booked a second week of vacation on the FL Gulf Coast at a different location. We'll be home for a couple weeks after our first trip down there, then fly back and stay at the second place for a week. I hope both weeks are brutally cold in MN I also hope we like both places enough to maybe stay 2 weeks each next year. Time will tell.
