Just stopped by the Proving Grounds and had just about 1/2" of rain so far. Perfect. Wink.....how much does a big bale of hay sell for this year? Or do you wait for winter to sell it? That could be enough to flush a piss load of potassium out of your rye straw. Clover explosion imminent. More rain falling in the area now. Hoping to pick up still more tonight. Great timing....as I had applied some fertilizer to my Sorghum on Thursday.....and drilled a coctail of seeds into my clover plots. (including chicory, sorghum, radish, and lots more.). I don't have high hopes for some of it.....as I know the clover I have will crowd out many of the brassica plants. But if I can get some vertical cover (sorghum) in my plots while my clover is somewhat diminished.....I have hopes the deer will use it more in daylight hours. Also using up some crimson clover and some turnips. Maybe some areas will grow. Also have some dedicated (burned down) land that I planted into brassica two few weeks ago.....that land has been waiting on rain too.

I would estimate we have 1/2 inch or so. Over three is predicted.

Been raining real HARD here at the lake and we have over 2.5" in our gauge just a few yards from my door. According to Weather Underground.....the rain is real variable through the area.....but I am guessing I may have an inch or so at the Proving Grounds. In my sand.....an inch seems like "plenty" and more will not make a difference. Lots of thunder rumbling though.

Looks like the Pequot Lakes QDMA weather station is gonna register more rain here shortly.

Send some rain down south, it is dry here in the southeast!
It is crazy how quickly it went from too wet to too dry.

We had a downpour again last night. Must be at 1.5 inches for the past 3 days.

Got maybe .05 this morning. Looked like a lot more fell not far to the east. This has definitely been a dry pocket for the last 4 years or so when compared to the surrounding area

Anyone check out the program "Raindrop.com" to see local rainfall for the past 24 hours? Seems like a nice program / ap. Wonder how accurate it is? Think I will add it to my phone.
