I was looking for dealers selling Shadow Hunters and this Minnesota Hunting Preserve came up. Take a look at the discount deer hunt video, would you get any pride from shooting this deer? I just don't get it, why would you ever do this. It would be like hunting in a zoo. If you want to give hunting a bad name this is how you do it. www.whimsicalwhitetails.com/index.html

Preserve hunts are growing every year as hunting numbers fade. Times change.

If I️ had to hunt a place like that to kill a deer, I’d spend more time hunting squirrels, rabbits and ducks.

Preserve hunts are growing every year as hunting numbers fade. Times change. I'm sure there is money to be made and there are allot of people who want to experience some kind of killing/simulated hunting. There are people unwilling to do it themselves so they will pay for such an experience. It should not be define as hunting as that links the penned killing of deer with free chase. In the long run I see this as a negative to real hunting and think it should be differentiated by how it is defined (Simulated Hunting). There is no doubt that as the Simulated hunting industry grows it will tarnish the real hunting tradition and provide ammo for the anti-hunting groups to discredit traditional hunting. Simulated hunting should be required to differentiate itself (what its called, how its advertised, how its marketed etc.) so that it does not present real hunting in a negative light.

Preserve hunts are growing every year as hunting numbers fade. Times change. I don’t truly believe this. Look at social media and the public land hunting movement out there. Guys like Randy Newberg, Go Hunt, OnX, MeatEater are getting huge followings and are doing soo much to promote fair chase public land hunting. There is always a market for all types of hunting whether it be fair chase, guided or canned hunts. To say canned is the new norm simply isn’t the case. I worry that guys on this forum are getting trapped in a Mn bubble and are losing interest in hunting because of the shitty situation here. Try to get out of the state once in awhile and experience something different as it can be really enjoyable. Just my two cents.

As I see it: Hunt is a four letter word as far as society is concerned. IME Hunters are classified hunters are killers are classified killers in a non hunters eyes. You hunt you are a killer. Just that simple. I am purposefully distancing myself and my property from the word "hunting". At TT we are NOT hunting. What we are doing, is harvesting well cared for animals in a humane way. Free range fish, pork, and venison. A fish/pig/whitetail farm that is practicing sustainable farming. Chemical free protein for the family. I completely agree with you Jerry (absolute sincerity here) Guys outside of the fence should keep the word "hunting" untarnished. To continue the hunting traditions as our fathers before. I know I sure as hell enjoy it!

These mentioned are not your typical “hunting show” guys and should not be put into that category. They move the industry forward in the right direction compared to the rich, huge hunting tract crowd like the jackasses from Wild Game Innovation etc..

Guys from solo hunter are good too. They put in a lot of work and do a good job documenting the struggle and all the work they go through in the hunt.
I also like Heartland Bowhunter

To many shows on are using "game farms"- outfitter to do all the work, to make their show look like reality.
