Had a buck in the 601 backyard last night. Might have been two year old but both antlers were missing.

I don't have many cams out, but only had one buck walk by in Feb and he was still holding as of the 15th. The bucks at my three hunting spots must find a spot(somewhere else) and not move far, because I always only get pics of does. Unless I run corn like I did three winters ago. Gave up on that due to time constraints and the fact that they browse anything and everything in the nearby area.

Things like that you only have to learn once.

I posted a pic of Stickers on one of my threads. Dad found his sheds laying beside each other tonight. I hope we get to see him next year.

Is this going to impact antler development next year?

Is this going to impact antler development next year? Doubt it. I don’t think it has much affect this time of year. We had a 5yr old 4x4 break off his left side in November a few years ago. The break was down in the petical. The following year he grew a crazy 17 point non-typical.

Got to put my hands on the stickers buck I posted earlier. He is bigger than I realized. Tine length was short but he had character.

Found this big heavy today in Elm Creek Park Reserve while walking my dog. The base is 6". I didn't have time to look for the match today but will take a gander tomorrow.

Great find slick. I’d love to shed hunt in the park.

So... the ladies say it's bigger in real life than in pics. You're not secretly Brett Farvre are ya?

Damn Slick - that's a great find. What's the beam length? Just saw the poached 8 at the classic yesterday. That rack never disappoints.

The boys found some more Sunday. Nothing big but it's always fun. The bottom pic might be a matched set. If so, it has great potential; main frame 10 with nubbins to be a 12 and kickers here n there.
