I would say mostly true, thing is, when Bush installed tariff's on steel in 2002, they only lasted about a year before they were repealed because they kinda blew up in his face. I see the same thing happening here, even if Trump actually wants them to be more than a scare tactic.

Do you guys see what I suspect??? The USA is used to career politicians as President who usually only speak hen things are a done deal. Businessmen make statements as though they are true and settled, but in reality it is only a way of bargaining. True or false?? Very true. I see it all the time. A guy tells me he is buying machine from me. What he doesn't say is it could be anytime in the next year after I jump through hoops and give away as much of the profit as possible. A politician would only say we have a deal when he is digging in the dirt with machine. That way if deal falls apart politician takes no blame, he never put himself at risk to explain why deal didn't happen. I like Trump more every week. Wasn't market suppose to collapse yesterday from economic adviser quiting and today from tariff. I guess we will get double dose of Russia tonight in the news or more tales from a porn star.

Betting against trump has not been a winning strategy so far. No reason to doubt him now.

I could be wrong but if Trump negotiates a fair deal with China The markets will go ballistic 🍺
We will see. Let’s hope we can get a deal on soybeans.

It's a fight worth having. The trade deficit sucks 4% off our GDP. If the Trumpster can cut it in half, we go to 5%+ economic growth.

This isn't a real shocker to me. If China was buying beans from us, and the EU was buying beans from South America, if China refused to buy ours and bought beans from South America instead, wouldn't it be logical that the EU would be displaced and need to buy from us?
Anyway, Trumpster put some points on the board today.
