Been some long days. It has been an unusual season. Day before season the bears quit hitting a lot of baits. I think the cool weather and bumber crop of acorns has something to do with it. We are up to 47 bear so far this year which is way below average for us. Hopefully the bear start hitting baits again and we can get the kill numbers up.

A hunter in bear camp killed a 520 bear last night.

520 pounds? If so, that's a beast. Is that live weight or dressed?
Dragging that guy out would suck.

Big Bear. What do most guys do with a fall bear, Shoulder Mount or rug? It is about 50/50 with shoulder vs rug. This bear is going to be a full nody mount.

In the last 8 seasons that I have helped this bear guide this is the 1st 500 pound plus bear. The have gotten a few over the years but it is rare.
