I'm aiming to get a couple 2-man ladders for the property. Priorities being what they are, I'm only buying one for now. Got to looking at stands at Scheels, and going off memory for the lesser ones I've seen. The price point seems to be sitting around $140+ for the most basic one. Falling asleep as often as I do, I'm considering getting one with better seats. Here's what I settled on so far. I want to have a couple 2-man stands for kids as they start hunting. Having 2 will provide a viable option for anything other than a NE wind. What ya think of these? www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WOLOV8A/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1

I bought a very big muddy two man for $100 off at cabelas a couple of years ago.
It’s the best stand we own.

It's a few bucks cheaper and would yield me a $25 gift card (due for a payout on Scheels visa benefits), but I don't want to haul it. With Amazon, I can have the UPS man drop it off, and I still get 5% cash back from Amazon. I can haul other stuff up then. Need to get my trail clearing tools up this weekend so I can beat on Dakota Peter.

All my ladder stands are 2 man or man and a half. They give me plenty of room to move around and have a place to set the back pack. You'd have enough room for Bob and his litter box in one of these. I have gotten all of mine from Menards when they are on sale. I'd get one now for this fall hunting and pick up the rest when they go on sale after season. That's what I have done in the past but they go like hot cakes when the sale hits so don't delay. I've never paid over $100 for a 2 man stand on sale. I've got 4 of them on the property and 2 shacks. Ladders stands don't get near as much use as the shacks.

In case you have not put a 2 man one up before.....the one I have is a BITCH to put up by myself! With kids - I prefer a blind and a full floor. They can move almost all they want and even curl up on the floor and sleep if they want. I realize it's hunting, but with kids it can be tough getting more than 2 hours out of them if things are slow. I like the extra room of a bench style 2 man stand for me hunting alone, but it can be tight with a kid and you can't help them as much if you need to. Just some things to consider depending on the situation.

I do not buy ladder stands with cloth seats. Squirrels chew them up.
Buy all metal and carry in something to sit on.
We have one two man ladderstand, but used a one man ladder and a hang on side by side when the girls were younger.

Spray the seats with deer guard! The wife has always had rabbits eat blossums eaten of her plants, sprayed with deer guard, it has never happened again.

regular 219 for 99? There is no need for wife approval when any items are over 50% off.

I thought she would help. Well she did her part. She went and got a guy to take it out and load it into my truck. I didn’t know they were regularly that much but, knew they were a good deal. I’m sending the nephew to get another one if they have any left.
