I was right, I do regret asking that question. You will not likely having a lot of company up there once they realize they have to share your poop bucket. I would rather squat in the median of I90 than sit on your poop bucket that you have already partially filled. I turn off the water to my cabin after gun season, so late season grouse hunts or habitat weekends up there are primitive. We refuse to share a poop bucket, so we just find a tree and take care of business behind that. There's an unwritten rule that it's not safe to walk by the poop trees the following year until July so nature has a time to break down the contamination. (You don't wanna know how ice fishing was handled then...) Man, you're throwing right over the plate today. Excellent feedback. So here's the recipe starting with an empty bucket. 3 big single fists full of wood chips (should get you about 3" in bottom of bucket) Poop #1 3 more big single fists full of wood chips Lightly shake bucket to settle chips and push some air out Poop #2 Repeat until so full that anymore would risk mud bridging. I'm considering getting some coarse ground lime to throw in the rotation as well. 1 mud, 1 fist lime, 3 wood chips. I could even taylor the end product based on whether a guy has sandy soil or heavy clay by switching up lime sources. Did you send it in for a complete soil analysis? Need gypsum?

Lime will have the minerals. Poo will have the sulfur.

Ever think of a bumper dumper? What is the maximum speed for that? Best to drive in reverse to keep your feet clean?

Do a Craigs List search for an outhouse.....or put a WTB in. I found ours for $20. Also, some of the lumber yards build 'em out of scrap materials.....but Im not sure how much they charge for them. I always see some at the lumber yard in Backus when I go by.....its only about 40 miles south from your place.

I haven’t read this thread but when we hunt out west we take a portable fish house or something like it as the shitter. Then dig hole place bucket over said hole with bottom cut out and when done doing deed scope some dirt on top.
Having a buddy heater sure is nice when cold.
