Are the captive genes that much better regarding antlers or is it the stress free living and unlimited food that gives them big racks? That's nuts, but it's what I've heard from a guy in se mn whose uncle has a deer farm.

That's nuts, but it's what I've heard from a guy in se mn whose uncle has a deer farm. I am Sure it is both. My deer are not anything by industry standards but it’s not a big deal to me. My place is just a friends/family playground. There are a good number of places with 160 to 180 inch 2 year olds from proven lines, and a lot of that is artificisl Insemination. My place is super low maintenance. Deer are one of the few animals you don’t need to winter water in MN. They can eat snow for their water.
