Looks like they’re looking for a gateway to get more land into conservation easements

I can be in the St Mathias Park with a driver and strong 3 wood from my piece up there. MO would lose 3 balls on the way and Foggy would be left scratching his head looking at all the logging debris in my food plots.

These programs are a return to serfdom. The poor should not be forced into servitude for the opportunity to work and maintain the lords' lands. Anyone who thinks these programs are a good idea, is a racist and a globalist. Its time to cast off the reigns of bondage and rise up against the manor. Or was Selma for nothing?

^. Well.....maybe. But it's also a way to get about 40% on your taxes if you keep your land in a conservation program. I did this.....and I've save about $3000 so far in taxes. I can opt out at any time. If your not going to develop your land into a housing tract or something of this nature.....its not a bad plan. Just saying.
Also might figure how to get funded for a new project.
Not much (if any) downside.....as I see it.

Are you dissing cspstlism by promoting socialist ideals? Are your actions telling future generations we should depend on the govt to finance our goals an dreams?

( ) There are a few good programs out there that do some good things for our ecology. The program on forest stewardship will keep some watershed areas out of ag prodcution or out of development....and promotes clean water. I do not think this is a bad thing for those of us that want clean water and good fishing in our future. I think this is a good idea. However, some of you guys would throw cold water on anything DNR or "government" at this point. So....what do I know? .

The only thing I've given is blending my own plan to not develop the land with theirs. It will take me 4 years to opt out, but they will pay me over 6k while I wait.

There are programs that pay private landowners for hinge cutting if you know the guy handing out funds. There are programs that pay exotic farmers for 8 foot fence if you know the guy handing out funds.
I am a half empty guy on govt programs for sure.
