^ Jerry.......I think my forks would not quite reach 8 feet when level. My BIL made a box to put on his forks.....this allows him to lift two feet higher. The only thing about that box is that it often will interfere with some of the bracing, etc. I paid about $110 for the plate and maybe have another $90 in steel and materials to make my 'high forks". If you have SS mounts....you could borrow it. Also.....I have a similar plate for my old JD mounts which I made into similar "high forks" lift. I don't need it.....and I could be persuaded to loan it or trade for something It's not made as well as the one shown above.....but I did move several blinds with it and it did not fail. The JD plate described above (made by Titan) also allows three point stuff to be attached to the front loader. This is kinda nice when using a landscape rake for "dozing" brush and debris. Maybe other things....but I dont know what that would be. EDIT: I would caution anyone moving blinds like this to have good ballast that will keep those rear wheels on the ground.....and to go S L O W so as to not tip your tractor. Lotsa leverage on the loader when you do this with a light tractor. Always a little pucker-factor when moving high stuff. . Thanks Tom, I have the standard JD quick attach bucket system. Next summer lets touch base and I'll stop over and see what your lift system looks like. For the most part 8' will work just fine but it would be nice to have a little extra height. When raising lighter enclosures like these Menards blinds you could easily tip them up. I'm going to post on TBN and see if those guys have some ideas. I agree about tipping these blinds up......as they are not too difficult to raise. I have been concerned with tipping them down tho, to move 'em.....as that could get a bit more dicey. I have my 6x6 Redneck Crossover blind to move next summer.....and I'm a bit worried how that will go. It's 10' high at the platform.....so I hope my arrangement shown will work with it. I will fasten that one down. I wish I could have gotten it moved this past season....just ran out of time. FORE!

When I put my Shadow Hunter up I tipped it up, it is 21 feet to the base. Next year I want to get it down to 10 to 12ft it'll just work better for crossbow. not sure if I'm going to just reverse the procedure I used to put it up or come up with a different way. I'll definitely post pictures of what I come up with.

^. I did see some very good techniques shown to raise blinds on the Shadow Hunter website (or maybe it was youtube by Shadow Hunter?). They show a nice way to use a fulcrum to lift a blind. Same is used for raising my Redneck crossover box blinds where the ladder gets used to pull 'em up.

Didn't have the tractor at the time so lowering it I may just use the loader and just cut the legs off rather than taking it all the way down. Time will tell, just need to get it down to 10-12 rather then the 21 it is. deerhabitat.freeforums.net/thread/2203/raising-shadow-hunter

We borrow a long telescoping pole that hooks up to quick attach loaders and works great. Works good for hanging rafters too.

I see the Octagon blinds are on sale. Do you think you could shoot a compound bow from the Octagon blind?
