I need to buy some ladder stands getting tired of hanging portables every year. Looking for suggestions on stands you guys like. This will be for bow hunting.

The best Ladder stand for the money was the Uppercut. It had a good backrest that was 6" away from the tree. Was 1.5 person wide and 21' in the air. We bought a bunch from fleetfarm for $160 each. See if you can find those still, you will not be disappointed.

We've switched to all 2-man ladders if we're buying ladders. There are kids coming up now for the next ten years, and it just seems safer and there is more room. I bought the $210 muddy 2 man and don't like it. The stand feels flimsy. My brother bought the $87 jobber from walmart, and it's solid as a rock, and quiet. The seat leaves a little to be desired, so I wouldn't plan an all day sit with this stand. www.walmart.com/ip/Big-Game-15-Two-man-Ladderstand-w-Realtree-Padded-Seat/379404580

Folds up, I leave mine out all year, have for 6 years now. Not a problem yet.
You would have to unbolt the seat some how to take it in.

You never want a stand that you have to lean against the tree for a backrest for a all day seat.

The foot platform is just to narrow front to back. See my link in my above post for 2 man stands. Get some of those and you will find a liking to them much better. If you are solely sitting and hunting, the one you posted is suffiecient, but if you are going to be getting up and adjusting and turning to prep for a shot, its just not wide enough front to back to comfortably move around.

You would have to unbolt the seat some how to take it in. No squirrel issues? I had one fabric seat.... last one. it got chewed up.

I do most my hunting now from blinds but I still have 4 ladder stands up. All are 2 man which is the only way to go. The first one I bought I don't remember the name or even where I got it. It was from either Menards or Fleet and it kind of curves around the tree, I like that one the best. IIRC it was just under the $200.oo range. All the rest are the cheapest I could get. Menards normally has really good sales after season is over, start watching the fliers, around me they go really fast and they are limited to stock on hand.

I want a metal seat on my ladder stands. I don’t want a chewed up seat.
