Millennium Stands are great .. I’ve never bought a ladder stand . The hang on stands are unbelievably comfortable!!

I've also had to make wooden seats for my ladder stands when the cloth seats are chewed up by squirrels.

I have more issues w/ coons shitting on my seats than squirrels chewing them. The old padded cloth seats (15 years old) are terrible for durability but so far I haven't had issues w/ the zero gravity types or w/e you want to call them.

Has anyone tried a Hawk ladder stand ?
They look awesome! Bought 2 at Menards for $165 range, on sale. They are more roomy than the average stand. .

Dont get me wrong, I prefer that too.
Longevity is my reason.

Dont get me wrong, I prefer that too. Longevity is my reason. . The last thing I want is to climb into a deer stand and find that squirrels have chewed up the seat. I like metal and I carry a cushion if needed.

I've never had a zero-gravity fabric seat chewed on. Some of the earlier cloth stuff/cushions, sure but never those tight mesh types.

My only experience with a fabric seat is that it didnt last a year..... I left it out and honestly knew it was probably going to happen. I dont take down ladder stands.... I have 15 ish of them...... They all stay up from the day bought till the day a tree falls on one and crushes it. Yes that happened.

Keep losing seat space every year. Probably not the smartest thing. I've also had a tree fall and just crush one.

I try to unstrap them all yearly and pop them out of the bark so they dont become a permanent tree ornament.

Running’s has some decent ladder stand prices right now . I’ll be getting another Hawk 21 footer . It’s a 1.5 man. Good wide seat!
