So I watched the tail end of the CWD show from Winona last night. One thing jumped out at me. There was a question about the "invisible fence" that is private land. There was a long drawn out borax on nonsense that ended in a comment from someone (maybe Lou?) that went something like, "If it gets that bad, we'll just declare a disease management zone." There was no talk of what those ramifications were. It left me with a gut feeling they'd green light the stampeding of private property rights to go in and get the deer. Perhaps court order forcing DNR access?

(And....can you say you blame our youth from getting "into" hunting?......Seems the downward hunting spiral will continue....IMO.). FORE!

QDMA keeps sending me emails.....today I got this and I think it should have gone to ART.....for one of his retirement jobs;
January 16-February 8: Apply to Serve on Minnesota DNR Advisory Committee
QDMA members are encouraged to apply for the Deer Advisory Committee!
Minnesotans interested in being more actively involved in deer management can apply to serve on a newly forming deer advisory committee that will help foster dialogue between the public and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
The committee will:
Represent the breadth of deer management interests; Learn about and contribute to understanding biological, social and economic aspects of deer management, including stakeholder group perspectives (excluding population goal setting); Identify and inform DNR of significant deer management issues; Facilitate dialogue between the public and DNR regarding issues; Advise DNR on potential approaches to respond to issues; and Advise on effective and publicly acceptable deer policies, research and monitoring priorities, programs and regulations. Applications are being accepted through Friday, Feb. 8. Click here to apply.
When you apply, please be sure to apply as an “At-Large” member.

The DNR would say this Deer obviously moved in from outside of the state and could carry disease, so we must shoot him. So where are we going to get elk for stocking in east central Minnesota? OK , they call it NE Mn.

It looks like there is another suspect positive in the new SE MN kill zone. This one was located just east of the game farm that had CWD.

If I had land in that area I would contact my elected to get a copy of the new endemic plan that has been in hiding for maybe as long as 6 months. Is the DNR hiding something you don't want to know? Do they have plans to treat the deer like coyotes?

Getting closer but if the plan is going to work we need to eliminate seasons and allows spotlights. Art can teach 'Jacklighting 101'
