It is sitting in house. I wanted to get a security box for it before putting it out as I have bear running around. My brother picked one up for me but I haven't got it picked up yet. Give me another week and I will give you a report.

Let me ask you this. You can get a Ring camera setup, as long as you have 4G, and run it off your cell phone. Is that not a option? Solar power for the cameras and your done. My neighbor in Missouri is using this and loves it.

My neighbor in Missouri is using this and loves it. I am not sure but don't you need wifi for the Ring camera to work. I don't have a cabin at my land so I don't think it would work for me. If it works like a cell phone you would still need some type of plan as the cell carriers sure as hell are not going to let you use their towers for nothing.

He said he has some sort of Data plan from AT&T and it seems to work great. He can even talk to me through one camera by his gate. Its crazy, not cheap though.

A couple pics from the new cellcam. The 1st pic the deer has to be 70 yards out. Had the sensitivity on high. Turned it down to low, will see how that pickup. The 2nd pic is from this morning, getting a little glare from sun, have the camera faced to northeast, I might have to aim it a little different next time up.

That seems like a fair price, thanks for the link. I wonder how many pics you can get without battery change? I just test drove a newer cell camera and the set of lithiums got me 3 days of pictures. Thats only $5 a day for batteries. How many pictures did it take/send? My SpyPoint is on at least two months, maybe three, with 8 lithium AAs. It still shows 100% battery, which is the nature of the lithium type. I'm sure they will go from 100% to dead in short order. But, it's sent almost 600 photos, just this month. I'm happy so far.

With testing at home and putting it out this past Saturday at land it has taken 71 pictures and still showing 100 percent on batteries.

For any one thinking of getting this cell cam, Macks Prarie Wings is running a sale of 30 dollars off. Brings the price down to 149.99. There is also a mail in rebate of 50 dollars so the final price would be 99.99. They have them in the AT&T or Verizon models www.mackspw.com/Moultrie-Mobile-XA-7000i-Wireless-Trail-Camera
