I saw 2 before Christmas. It was over an hour away. I'm feeling pretty good about it.

Perfect weather coming for key nesting stretch. This has not happened for years. Then we need a bit of rain in week or so. Bugs are important for the chicks, can’t be too dry.

Pheasants are really loving the cedars right now.. check out the tracks. We saw about 18 birds today, shot 2 roosters.

I seriously believe my lab lost her smell from Covid. She does not even get birdy when I take her out? Maybe she is just old.
Art - can you smell anything?

It’s been an easy year for pheasants ... so far
Seeing a lot of birds in fields, if we have a dry May/June it will be big numbers of birds

I did have a couple of roosters and hens in the home orchard the other day. Driving around, I see mainly roosters.
Numbers were so low last year that most didn’t hunt them.

I did talk to one vet who is still in practice and she has not heard of any covid in dogs. When I had COVID they told me to stay away from my dogs. My older dog laid in bed with me for 3 days. Another bs COVID narrative
