I've been through the entire series already a couple of years ago. I still firmly believe it is the greatest TV show ever made. My girlfriend has not watched the series but always wanted to. Tonight we start episode 1. Even though I've seen the entire series I am excited to go through it again as it is just that damn good.
Anyone not watch it I highly recommend it. Give it a try you won't be disappointed.
I see some late night binge watching sessions in my future.

Breaking Bad is an American crime drama television series created and produced by Vince Gilligan. The show originally aired on the AMC network for five seasons, from January 20, 2008, to September 29, 2013. It tells the story of Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a struggling high school chemistry teacher diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer. Together with his former student Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), White turns to a life of crime, producing and selling crystallized methamphetamine to secure his family's financial future before he dies, while navigating the dangers of the criminal world. The title is from a Southern colloquialism meaning to "raise hell". Breaking Bad is set and was filmed in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Walter's family consists of his wife Skyler (Anna Gunn) and children, Walter, Jr. (RJ Mitte) and Holly (Elanor Anne Wenrich). The show also features Skyler's sister Marie Schrader (Betsy Brandt), and her husband Hank (Dean Norris), a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agent. Walter hires lawyer Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), who connects him with private investigator and fixer Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) and in turn Mike's employer, drug kingpin Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito). The final season introduces the characters Todd Alquist (Jesse Plemons) and Lydia Rodarte-Quayle (Laura Fraser).
Breaking Bad is widely regarded as one of the greatest television series of all time.[5] By the time the series finale aired, the series was among the most-watched cable shows on American television. The show received numerous awards, including sixteen Primetime Emmy Awards, eight Satellite Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, two Peabody Awards, two Critics' Choice Awards, and four Television Critics Association Awards. For his leading performance, Cranston won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series four times, while Aaron Paul won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series three times; Anna Gunn won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series twice. In 2013, Breaking Bad entered the Guinness World Records as the most critically acclaimed show of all time.

Probably my favorite show. Didn't start it til season 4 was airing but I made a point to avoid all spoilers until I caught up. Great show. I'll add The Wire as 1b with BB 1a, for me at least.

Mike Ehrmantraut has to be one of my favorite TV personalities ever. Archie Bunker is right there as well.

I DVR'd the entire show when they had a marathon right before the series finale. I was hooked after the first episode. Watched all the seasons in probably a months time. Great show! My oldest kid and my mother in law are watching it now. I think they are up to season 4.
I didn't know it when I was watching but they had a lot of goofy things thrown in like colors meaning certain things. Walt's last name is "white". Jesse's last name is "Pinkman". Blue is the color of his meth, as well as the color of his wife's office walls (her first name is Skyler as in sky blue), etc. The color of Walt's shirt often meant something about the mood of that episode. I didn't catch all of it but it's out there and makes the show that much more interesting. I normally don't get into series that leave you hanging for the next episode but this one hooked me.

I hope you've been watching Better Call Saul. I think season 3 is going to be really good. I've liked it so far.
