That Golden Egg seems familiar from somewhere. September Ruby might be worth a try.

That Golden Egg seems familiar from somewhere. September Ruby might be worth a try. That looks like a great cold climate fruit tree resource. Are any of those available thru GRIN?

I recognize some of the names on that list, GRIN has at least a few anyway. They may have a bunch

Your friend Vic has a picture on one of the pages at that site I was digging through an old apple tree folder I had, and had Golden Egg written on a piece of paper. I know Vic had sent me some information on it.

A study completed in 1904, breaking down different area districts and what fruit they thought grew best in each region. Good way to find the older heirlooms/heritage varieties. You can download the pdf here..... archive.org/details/CAT87201635

Lots of fruit info on this website. The owner is supposed to be giving seminars locally this weekend but, I'll be away. I was hoping maybe to get some scions lined up for next year. 036820a.netsolhost.com/homeorcharding.htmlHere's info on some of the trees they grow and sell to our local Agway stores. (it's like Menards). Good descriptions of many varieties. The trees I saw last spring were the best looking $30 retail fruit trees I've ever seen. They had a sale where they were on sale for $20. 036820a.netsolhost.com/apples.html
