I have a Redneck stand that I use for both bow and gun and they are great. Well I call it my stand because it's on my land, but my dad bought it. He said he's getting old and he wants a nice stand to sit in all day. They're actually not too hard to put up - my dad and I put ours up in a couple hours. We had the stand and all the parts in boxes on a trailer and drove the whole works out to the field edge where we wanted to put it up. We assembled it right there and then lifted it up using the atv winch. It made me pretty nervous doing that, but it worked just like the directions said it would. You could rig up a come-along to lift it up or just hook a tow strap to a truck. The assembly and setup wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I haven't hunted other store bought permanent stands, but I'd definitely recommend the Redneck for both bow and gun hunting ^. THIS is the deal for you. I have a 5x6 Crossover blind and it is simply the best on the market. Stays clean, dry and insect and mouse free. Safe ladder, platform, windows for bow or gun and big enough to have a second hunter or observer aboard.....yet not to big so you can see all angles. Get a good office chair and you are golden. I am going to buy two more of these next season. Only other blind to compare is possibly a Muddy.....but I doubt they are better ? It would appear that the muddy tower and the Redneck tower are made by the same Chinese manufacturer. They are GREAT towers and while they take time to assemble.....you can do it by yourself if you can swing wrenches (but It is easier to have some help). (that's my story and I am sticking to it). I can help you raise it if you want some help Stu.....not too bad if you follow instructions and use your head. ( A tractor would make it easier tho)

You can get 2 Shadow Hunters for the cost of one RedKnit blind. I have Killed deer with a recurve out of the 5x6 and squished 3 guys in on multiple hunts. We had 3 adults and one 5 year old in one last week and shot a deer.
Bet if you wait till firearms winds down you can get $400 bucks off at fleet farm or runnings on stock blinds.
We put one 12 feet in the air with 4 dudes and a 610 mule.

Regarding box blinds......after buying my land.....I wanted to have multiple choices for blinds on my property for up to six hunters. I have NINE box blinds. I did not want to pay the price for this many quality blinds and got along with some of those trapdoor blinds, wooden blinds, and finally bought one Redneck Blind. Mostly it was about keeping the costs in line.....and to buy six or more Rednecks at one time was crazy to me. I think I invested about $500 to $600 in most of my blinds......and they are good for what they are....but I wish they were all Rednecks.
I've looked at all of the available blinds I can find......and some others are pretty good......but it's hard to best a Redneck.....IMO. I know others will tout insulation and quiet.....but I'd buy the Redneck over any other and I think it would outperform. .02 cents. I love the tight doors and windows and GLASS windows on quiet hinges.....etc etc.
I rest my case.

The tilt in/out windows are a lose compared to sliding windows if the light is reflected wrong. I hdve Shot a lot of critters from permanent blinds and it’s s design flaw.

Wow....^....I'd much prefer tilting windows to those that slide. Ice and chit in the sliders....IMO.....and I have never spooked a deer with the tilt windows in an ELEVATED blind. Silent operation.....what's not to like? Yesterday I cleaned mouse nests out of three of my blinds.....and the mice ruined one of my Buddy heaters (which I had put in before going to OZ). Lots of flies and moths and little frogs and chit in all the blinds....but when I got to my Redneck.....it was spotless.....just like opening a door into my car. Hard to beat the pleasure of owning a great piece of gear. . I want to upgrade a couple of blinds next year.

Stu can take it for what it’s worth but for bowhunting the tilt windows are not ideal. Most blinds have them because they can’t do a slide. Tilt windows will get you busted up close. But if you want a Redneck go look at carstens in melrose. They are in your back yard and make a badass Fiberglass blind.

Probably have to fix next summer. I do like the windows on the Shadow hunter over the tinted windows on Redneck. It gets really hard to see out of tinted windows the last 15 minutes. Sort of like wearing sun glasses at night.

Any idea what they run?

These guys build molds for some of the big dogs in the boat industry.
