Did parts of iowa legalize straight jacket rifles? Not sure the proper term. Yes... probably not a good thing. But the season starts December 7 so it’s not “rut” hunting.

Push from gun manufacturers. I might buy a Savage Bushmaster .450 in the future? We will see.

I believe some of those guns are good to 200-250 yards. Insurance agency pressure. Governor actually admitted it years ago when they really went after the deer numbers.

Northern Mo is very hard to lease land. Outfitters grab all they can. But the kids that worked for me found 260 acres there off the base camp leasing. $6500 $25 per acre, is that typical?
I hunt alone so I would not need a big place. 80-100 acres would be fine.
If it’s all woods $25/acre is common.
