My son-in-law likes to do many of these things. Also my grandsons like this land and will get somewhat involved. Still, it's hard to dedicate much time to it when you live several hours away and are involved in other stuff. The good thing is there is not as much to do these days as compared to the past. A couple of days of spring planting......and some mowing....and a few days killing weeds.....will keep this up pretty well. Of course....then there are prepping stands.....cleaning the sheds......fixing crap......lol. . You or they can still hunt and all of those things don’t need to be done. That's kinda the tactic I have taken......what gets done is fine.....and what dont get done is fine too. I'm at peace with the land. .

Chainsaw clear cuts, shooting lanes, and bedding area this spring Buckthorn control Get the 500+ Norway, white, and black spruce I have ordered in the ground to create some thermal blocks Expand the soybean plot I added this year Trying a sunflower, millet, milo, and buckwheat mix in the old pasture plot Get a couple more clover plots established in the woods Transplant and cage a few more ROD sites Add a couple water tubs on the south side of property Pick a spot for the enclosed stand(s) I’m picking up from Mo’s boys Hope the weather and my work/family schedule cooperate enough to get a couple of these things completed in 2020 and perhaps even shoot a deer
