Watching San Jose sharks play Chicago Blackhawks...pretty sure they said next 3 San Jose home games will be played without fans.

I've got a feeling they'll be suspending the season as well . It is one strange world. In two months, I don’t think we will need the diagnostic tests, or the vaccine. The vaccine will not be available for about 18 months. It will all pass, and hopefully life will return to normal.

I agree. The problem is that during those 2 (3, 4?) months the damage to our economy will have already been done.

8,200 deaths from normal flu this 2019-2020 flu year....
38 deaths is nothing in comparison

Lots of damage will be done. In my opinion the effort is solely to slow down the rush going into hospitals. These large events might spread the virus quickly which floods the medical workers to the point of no supplies, staff, or room for patience. Slow it all down and turn it into a trickle over a longer period of time and the medical facilities and suppliers can keep up. In the end the same number of people get sick but less die. The last thing a president wants is the legacy of people dieing in brutal conditions at home because the hospital turned them away.
