According to cams this is the first buck to shed here. He's kind of homely looking. I think it's this one, hard to tell once the antlers fall off.

Unfortunately it will be a while before I can check for sheds as there is close to 20 inches of snow on the ground by my land.

I didn't have time to shed hunt last year and won't this year. I kinda miss the excitement when we find some good ones.

We share pics and this guy isn't on his camera at all. He's also the only deer I have on camera that has a nose like this. The evening I had him in bow range he spent his time fighting. I'm guessing he just likes to mix it up a little.

When my buddy found this one 2 years ago we worked that area for 6 hours trying to find the other one. It turned into a job. Lol

I would have looked more also and been thrilled to find that. It kind of has a claw to it... any chance it's the one you shot this year? The longest I've looked and found a match was 1yr. Found the first one in the woods on a bluff. Looked forever trying to find the match and never did. Fast forward a year and I damn near step on a shed while sneaking up on a pond to jump ducks. Exact match to the other one, a year apart, and a mile away. The only difference was color (bleached). I also found a shed this past year to a buck I shot 2 or 3 yrs ago (time runs together), meaning the shed had to be 3 to 4 yrs old minimum.

The one I shot was too young, this buck if still alive would be 7-8 years old now.
