I knew Larry Lange pretty well before he passed. That man was a legend in making decoys and other items. I bought a lot of his knives. Great guy…

My fishing buddy received the Living Legend Award up at the decoy show in Perham last night. He has been promoting the carving of decoys for three decades. pictured is a Horny Toad mini decoy that he made and gave me. His initials are BAD. I enjoyed the show and visiting with people who grew up in the northern Minnesota background like me. Fishing, hunting, trapping, and picking wild rice.

This has to be one of my favorite decoys. It is made from red cedar with a white streak. The cedar is from my farm. It swims well but will be strictly decorative from here on out.
