I just heard that tonight’s Fresh Air program on MPR will cover how poorly the Trump administration has handled the corona virus problem.

I don’t know if the comparison is valid, but the various corona viruses in cattle seem to fade with warm dry weather. Even warmer weather where house windows are opened up should probably help. They interviewed an infection specialist out of Fargo Sanford yesterday and he said warm weather does not matter with this virus. I am only repeating what he said... I read a link today where a German Virologist and an American expert felt sunlight and heat will slow the spread. I don’t know how to post the link, but it was on AlJazerra. It dies quicker with heat and sunlight, in short and laymen’s terms.

The media hype will try to drag this coronavirus in an attempt to make Trump look bad. I see it even on Habitat Talk the Democrats all say this is serious stuff...yes, but the reaction is totally overreaction. The market tanking is already gone too far.
Warm weather will help, read up on the virus likes cooler temps. This will recover by June and Trump may look just fine! I see the Dow going back to 26,500 at least, and guessing 10-20% of the deaths in China, so it will be dangerous in certain areas... but not catastrophic (just my take).
I don’t know if the comparison is valid, but the various corona viruses in cattle seem to fade with warm dry weather. Even warmer weather where house windows are opened up should probably help. Vitamin D knocks back this virus and the flu and it comes from sunlight and supplements. It’ll subside when warm weather comes.

I was lucky enough to get the last package of 2 ply at our supermarket. Mass hysteria Trump needs to remind people that what it would be like all the time in a socialist society.

^I heard the same. Still, warm dry weather has got to be better than cold and damp.

There is one giant headline missing from all this.
How is China doing today?
They've had it since mid December. Always ask yourself, "What is it they're trying to make me feel and do?"
I used to be a big doomsday guy, and still am for the most part. This is not doomsday. This is a not even close. This run on toilet paper is hilarious. I've got about 3/4 of a costco mega pack. I should put up rolls for $20/ea on craigslist. I've got a few thousand square feet of fabric and carpet to wipe my ass.
"Will trade 5 rolls for AR-15. No Remingtons. 20 for Rammy ATV flail mower."

LOL. We went to Wal Mart, Staples and Walgreens this morning before going to Target. We stocked up a fair food supply and some essentials to hunker down at home for a few weeks. When we were at Target.....they had just put TP bundles on the shelves......so, while fairly stocked.....we added two more big bundles to our cart. Also had sanitary wipes being put on the shelved so we snagged a large pack of those. The shelves were empty in many categories at the aforementioned stores. Checking our supplies of essentials......and we are in fair shape to get thru several weeks. I think some of the panic buying will subside in the next week or two (??). One can hope we are ahead of the game here in the US. Folks sure panic quickly these days.

Kimberly Clark was greatly outperforming the market, and Colgate-Palmolive had largely bucked the downturn. There are going to be massive fortunes made from all of this. And if there aren't, we've got much bigger problems to worry about than investment accounts.

How much crapping are people expecting to do in the next few weeks? 10 times more than normal? Planning on wiping 6 times?

How much crapping are people expecting to do in the next few weeks? 10 times more than normal? Planning on wiping 6 times? One of the big things to me is limiting the number of trips to the store for groceries and supplies. As old codgers.....we generally eat out quite often with other old codgers....also have a few brewskis with our golf partners for the day. I think this is gonna come to a screeching halt. Also the foods and goods you get from the stores now are less likely to contain Coronavirus germs than those in weeks to come. Same for servers at restaurants and more. These are reasons to stock up now.....rather than buy as you need stuff. My .02 cents. FORE!

That still doesn’t answer the question on if you are planning to crap 10 times more than usual or wipe using twice the tp. I bought tp a few weeks ago at Costco. I’m good for months on that item. No panic. Just my typical purchase 3-4 times a year. Now it sounds like schools are closing for a month in several states.

Foggy said he was considering reusing the TP. He said use only one side and wind it back on the roll for the next guy to use.
I am going to shrink wrap bundles of corn cobs for sale!

We found some generic bleach at our local hardware store. Clorox must be making money.
