Drive the roads a little and take some photos of potential apples locations. Check them out later on to see if there are any up your way. You can grow apples up here. A number of my neighbors have them. I think I just need to get mine up a few feet higher and nix the tube right away. I've got big dirt piles in the yard that need moving. I may make a few mounds and come back and plant them in a year or two and they settle and get recolonized. Gotta fix the yard and trails with that extra dirt first. If you could buddy up with some tree arbor company and have them drop a couple loads of chips that would help down the road too.

I didn't take any pics, but my wife and I drove up towards Eagle Bend yesterday afternoon/evening. Picked up a pizza from Double Eagle and then drove around for awhile. The number of white and pink/purple crabs in full bloom this year is pretty impressive. It should be a banner year for soft mast. Hopefully the burr oaks crank out a nice crop of acorns too. Nothing but small grains planted around here this year, so hard and soft mast will be very important.

Corn, alfalfa, beans, clover, edible beans, sweet corn, and potatoes.

There wasn't as much blooming at my place as I was hoping for. Found a few white petals poking out in the crowd

This sucker is within an Apple throw of my grandpas old trees and right next to the old coop foundation. I always throw apples in there hoping someday maybe they will grow. No idea if this was from me or years prior, but this is the first time I’ve noticed this tree!

This tree is along the edge of my alfalfa field. I have probably driven by it ten thousand times over the last thirty years.

I found this little guy is probably 7-8 years ago. It’s been browsed every year. I’ll put a cage on it this year.

I don’t have crabs that I’m aware of. I have had them multiple times in the past after college. I did start noticing some enormous clumps of this stuff around the hood. Never ran up to check it out, but I’m assuming either plum or juneberry?

^^^that looks like wild plum to me.
Right now, hawthorns and nannyberries are in full bloom here.
