Insect repellent works for spiders? Like Deet? Or do you mean pesticide of some sort? I'm wondering about the pilot light tube for my heater, if I should do something to keep the crawlies out of it. The past two years I have had more problems than ever before with mice nesting in my Mr. Heaters. I need something to keep them out of my blinds. Any Ideas??Regarding spiders.....I have not had a problem with them in my MR Heaters.....but I never before considered spraying them for spiders. As gas is a real attractant to small spiders.....this is likely a good idea to keep them out. I think the "Home Defense" stuff you spray around foundations and such would be very good. As a side note.....I use the Home Defense spray under my boat canopy and inside the boats. This has drastically cut the spiders and bugs in those areas.....which are commonly loaded with spiders. Really works well. We even spray our dock posts, the winches, and such. Keeps the spiders at bay.

I’m talking about the pilot light tube for my Empire direct vent heater that warms my shabin.
I spray the place with Tempo SC before I leave most times I’m up. It’s made a big difference with the cluster flies. I haven’t noticed any other insects inside other than the flies and mosquitoes that sneak in through the front door.

Some real trophies by the water around the boats.

Cayenne pepper boiled in vegetable oil paintbrushed onto areas you dont want mice. Blind floors etc. Have you done this for a deer blind? Will it not make scent issues for deer? Peppermint is bad juju for mice and deer. Nose no like. Cayenne no issue. Mice dont smell it - it burns their feet is what I was told. I did my truck cab blind extensively and never had a single mouse turd in the rig over 4 years. Same concept with a product called Ah Rats! Double Bull used to market. Spray bottom 4 inches of your blind and the kangaroo rats in CatScratch county would leave your ground blind alone.

That would be nice! I fight rats constantly. I sometimes use #2 coilsprings on the bigger ones.

Well the cabin is either going to have to be downsized or put on hold. Neighbors offered their 40 to us so that took priority. Will be nice to have their chunk because it ties in nicely with our piece

I have talked to two of my neighbors about buying a 40 from them and you would have thought I asked for their first child. Your smart to buy it.

They knew we would want it and that is reflected in the sales price. Oh well though I guess, not many opportunities like this present themselves
