Spoke to the dealer, with the tractor I am getting with a loader, it will fit on 16 foot trailer, tractor with loader and a tiller will fit on 18 foot trailer. Tractor with loader and 6 foot brush hog will fit on 20 ft. Said the tire of brush hog might stick out but doubted that it would. There is 4 feet in between the ramps and with the shape of brush hog it should work. Looking at other trailers with slide out ramps also. This is why I say 24”. I have all these things and experience it weekly. Legally you need to flag anything sticking off the back, which I think you know. I also have the gravity tilt deck. Very nice How heavy of a truck do you have with that 24' trailer? Thats allot of trailer for most folks.

Very nice Believe it or not, any thing under 4 feet doesn't need to be flagged. If you do it at night you have to have a light on it. At least that was the law in 2011 when I retired.

I've had a few implements hanging about two to three feet off the back of my trailer. I tied a red flag on 'em......and if I recall I was good to go.....and legal. Have not looked at the law lately......but these days I would just blame it on my age. (grin).
Sometimes we overthink this chit. Ignorance is bliss. FORE!
