Saw 20 or so tonight. Not one worth a damn. Should have went fishing. I’m ready to skip ahead to October 25th or so.

Good action by Parkers Prairie... one very nice buck. Long story, but didn’t get him. Pulled back, oh well long season ahead!

My cousin knocked one down yesterday evening in north central mn. She puts in a lot of stand time and it pays off finally.

Good action by Parkers Prairie... one very nice buck. Long story, but didn’t get him. Pulled back, oh well long season ahead! So I had an odd hunt last night. Very fun, an “almost tagged” happen. A nice buck is on the neighboring hay/alfalfa Field about 125-150 yards from my stand. He was feeding there for 45 minutes, well before dark. I then hear a tractor coming off to the west and here comes the farmer to the field. The buck hears the farmer—does not get too concerned—but as he gets closer the buck starts trotting toward my property. The buck makes a beeline right to my stand. I’m standIng up as I knew this was possible, draw my bow and I’m ready to take him. He passes within 15 yards of my stand right in the open, but he’s trotting and despite trying to stop him, no luck. It literally could have been a 2 hour season! So that was my opening night. Overall I saw 9 bucks. Great first evening. Exciting and fun . Thanks for readin! Here is a trail cam pic of the buck, and a blurry phone pic of him on the neighbors field.
