Seems like you bastards are just trying to rub it in that my wife’s bday is November 7th...in all reality I’m rarely home for her bday because I’m hunting but this year I’ll be home because it’s her 40th. Planning on all-day sits on both ends though Beware valentines day. It's long been a conspiracy to end deer hunting. What comes 39 weeks after valentines day? I’m good on kids but we should have probably had this conversation with Smallchunk already...anyone else still viable for having more kids?? Not sure if you count or not😂

November 10th > 14th > 4th, but they’re all good about the 4th through 15th. I feel like lockdown starts around the 17th or 18th, which is why our gun season is typically a bore.

Cameras at my new place show the 8th has been good the last 2 years. I’ve had good days on the 3, 4, and 7th.

As a person who doesn't usually get to hunt prime deer spots I've got to say my favorite part of the rut is when the big bucks go searching for any does not yet bred, somewhere around Nov. 15th.

Bill Winke from Midwest Whitetail always swears the 7th of November is the best day to be out. I like the looks of the weather and conditions in Iowa for that 6-10th time. I think the 7th is the gun opener in MN this year? Saturday morning could be a war zone.

Things may be starting up to warm up in the deer loins. On the cell cam up north 3 different bucks this morning at a licking branch/scrape. 2 before daylight and 1 at 8am. 1 definite shooter that i cant say for sure if I know of him.

I don't have a favorite day. I love hunting the seeking and chase phases, which here starts about Halloween and runs thru the first half of November. I am not a dedicated bow hunter but I have seen some nice deer then. I typically take vacation days our entire gun season which is typically the week before and the week of Thanksgiving. I prefer to gun hunt as it allows me to spend time hunting with my kids on the weekends and then I can go solo during the week....
My favorite day is any day I'm in the stand and Mr. Mossy Horns wants to step out to get whacked!

The colder weather hits the midwest around the 8th this year. I would guess that the 8,9.10,11 will be great days in states that have not had a gun season.

Halloween with 40-50 mph winds is a not an ideal rut day!

It should be very comfortable as compared to the weekend.

If the forecast holds I think a lot of deer will be killed on Wednesday the 11th. I can't wait to hunt Wednesday through Sunday - I think it will be really good.
