Good job Idaho! Completely blows my mind what Colorado is trying to do when there are confirmed packs already in Colorado.

Hard to believe this stat....
Many people have argued wolves in Minnesota should be removed from endangered species protection. DNR officials say the animal, once hunted to near extinction, is now stable and thriving. Recent estimates indicate about 2,700 wolves roam Minnesota. That's nearly half of all wolves in the entire lower 48 states.
Thats from MPR news....

Bonkers

exactly
And I have always argued there is no Fing way MN only has 3000 wolves.
We had the wolf hunt several years ago, and the 400 limit was hit in 2 days.....
If you stuck 3000 deer in northern MN, you would be lucky to harvest 25 in that territory total. Look at the northern MN deer hunters today. There is a shitton more than 3000 deer up there today and more people than not, didnt even see a deer this year. And you are going to try and tell me 400 wolves shot in 2 days is remotely possible with only 3000 covering thousands of sq miles. NOT POSSIBLE

They fill the quotas pretty fast when they've been allowed to have a hunt.

I attended one of Steve Porter’s wolf meetings last night. The tiny town was packed with cars.
I think it is well worth attending if you hunt in wolf country or have cattle in wolf country.

I attended one of Steve Porter’s wolf meetings last night. The tiny town was packed with cars. I think it is well worth attending if you hunt in wolf country or have cattle in wolf country. What "answers" are Steve offering? some discussion by Steve and area legislators about the current wolf plan and wording of reference to wolf hunt. If I have it right, wording says the DNR ‘can’ have a wolf hunt after delisting. Wolf lovers want to outlaw all wolf hunting. Those at the meeting want ‘can’ wording replaced with ‘must’. Evidently Wisconsin says ‘shall’ . He is also working with group that got wolves delisted out west. Other speculation, but we would need new attorney general in our state to sue feds.
