With a machine that size I wouldn’t even consider a tiller. A nice disc and drag will do nearly the same job and it won’t be painfully slow going. I plant several acres each year with a little smaller tractor and don’t mess around with tillers

We sold our tiller. Agreed, way to slow. We have the same tractor as Brad, but 2wd. I dont need a garden like plot to plant in.
We have an 11 ft hydraulic disc, 2 bottom plow which is only used to turn sod for something new, 8 ft digger/cultivator.

Way to go Brad. 75 hp is more than you'll ever need. Shit my old man farmed over 200 acres with the biggest tractor about that size for the longest time. IMO you be better off with quick attach pallet forks. Just watch out you don't bend that new bucket with the clamp on ones. Where did you get it Swiderski? The clamp on ones were from the old ford and went with it. I'll be picking up regular forks here soon. I only used it for unloading the plow blade. I got it from Service motor corp. Swiderski doesn't have Case IH

Now we have to spend Brads money on implements. Where do we start? 8-10' disc from the dude from Augusta. The one you link below. I talked to him and he is going to rebuilt a 9' IH disc for me and then a 8' hydraulic grain drill and I'll get him from him in Spring. His prices are always competitive and he goes through everything. I bought my JD 2 row from him and everyone I know that has bought his stuff has liked what they got. The IH discs are heavier than the John Deer and you and can adjust the aggressiveness of them and the JD ones are fixed.

The disc for the big stuff. It will also serve as the back up in case I had disc issues or something.

2006 I think??? I got it with 200 hrs on it as well. We have had it 10 years now. We now have mid 500 hours I want to say?? We have needed zero repairs. only issue we had was critters chewed wires up that we were able to fix. Otherwise been as reliable as we could ever want.
The 11 ft disc pulls fine on flat ground, but I do have to raise it a tad going up an incline, but thats with a 2wd. Its got power. No question. With 4wd, not much to stop you.

Congrats Brad. Nice Beast. You going to let the oldest son or your wife drive it? I'm sure at some point yes.

Damn rich guys get all the deals. Still running a 1943 Farmall I gave $800 for. Well it was either this or a newer truck. I choose the nice tractor and will keep driving my old ratty truck. Most guys drive around in real nice trucks. Tractors are way cooler than trucks.

If it's 75 HP, no DEF then? No def. And simple emission stuff. That is one thing I really liked about this tractor.

Dang! Have they gone up that much? I picked up a 14' john deere aw disc for a $1000.00 a couple years ago and thought that was still on the high side. It depends. The ones that are 14' and bigger are usually cheaper than a 8-10'er. Supply and demand.

That cab might make you as soft as Foggy. Next thing you will stop killing shit and think daily golf is a good idea.

Holy shit Brad! Congrats on the upgrade! Keeping up with the "Foggy's" Leaving foggy in that Arizona dust. I do not even dare to compare my rig to Brads. He has some serious tractor there. Gonna take some big implements tho (read expensive) to complete his deal. I get along with the little 5 and 6 foot wide implements on the cheap. I do really like having a cab.....it's far more comfortable and much safer in that cab than out in the open. Less bugs and chit to deal with. I damned near poked an eye out on several occasions when breaking my land. This is a non-event with a cab. OH.....and did I mention DEER FLIES. Fuck'n Biden! Last year I didn't ever hook up my tiller. I find my old Dearborn cultivator and / or my disk does as nice of a job as the tiller.....and it's much faster and I don't break stuff as easy. I do wish I had a combination disk / cultivator.....but I get along fine with what I got.....and I don't have a huge investment in implements. My tractor toys with the 5 and 6 foot wide stuff.....but those implements are plenty for the few acres I cultivate. (maybe 5 acres / year cultivated plus the mowed acres of clover and trails). NICE TRACTOR BRAD! Enjoy it! It's gonna last a whole lot longer than a pick up truck....and be worth a whole lot more when the truck would be dead. Farm 'chinery is not an expense.....it's an investment! . PS. When your ready.....ask me about a FLAIL Mower for that rig. You got a tractor that would run a seven footer (or more) quite nicely. Check WOOD MAXX.com
