Brad needs to update this thread. A lot of you guys will be surprised. Well give us the update if Brad isn't going to update! Maybe we should take guesses as to what he has going on. I'll guess that he has another kid on the way and that he sold all of his food plot stuff to buy diapers. Or he ditched it all and bought a cat and a Subaru and is getting started on his own regenerative ag journey. Not this

Ok I'll play.
The Case gave me too many problems and the dealer sucked at dealing with those problems. The tractor was hard to work on and I disliked it the more I used it. Very disappointed in it.
I was able to find a buyer for about what I paid for it as availability a year ago was limited at best and someone needed something in that size. I decided it was time to dump it.
I didn't like the Kubota Cab as much. In fact I still don't. The case had a really nice cab. But I pulled the trigger on a Kubota Mx5400. And I have about 60 hours on it already and I love it. No, I mean I really love it.
I'll go on my phone and posts some pics

Nice rig Brad, I'm jealous. A cab tractor is on my short list. Looks like your full time farming, deer hunting should be good for you and the family. Congrats!
Best Damn Avatar ever.

I like that planter and I am thinking about going that same route. Can you explain what you have, looks like a side dress coulter for urea and then trash handlers for drilling. Are you no tilling or are you tilling then planting? I like the side dressing for fertilizing, is this just starter fertilizer or are you putting down enough fertilizer to carry you over the year? Nice looking unit, what kind of money do you have in it?

Nice looking unit, what kind of money do you have in it? It is what I think they call 2x2 fertilizer placement. 2" offset and 2" deep. The row cleaners (trash wheels) really help with residue, especially with corn on corn residue. I am still tilling to plant as this really isn't a full no till set-up but defintely don't need a clean seed bed with the trash wheels so tillage doesn't have to be crazy deep or multiple passes. I am putting down about 180-190 lbs/acre of triple 19 at planting and then hitting with 150 ish lbs per acre of urea top dress just when the corn is almost too high to drive over with the tractor. That method has worked great for me.

That method has worked great for me. That's a nice setup and functional, just what you need. The trash wheels are a nice addition particularly if your dealing with corn trash as that is really hard to get rid of when you don't harvest with a combine. With that setup and your fertilizer application I bet your getting some great yields. Yield at the right time of year is why we do this stuff. I remember when you purchased a 2 row 7000, did you add the 2x2 fertilizer placement or did you trade it in on a new unit? Do you have a source of these planters, I'm interested in buying a unit like that. Thanks for sharing!

I did that to avoid all the waste associated with broadcasting. I think that will Pay for itself over time having to use less fertilizer.

Great looking setup. I’m obviously way behind the times, but when did the Case turn into a Kubota?

Thats a sweet Tractor with all the rigging. I still run the old junk. Its more of an accomplishment when you can hold that old shit together enough from one year to the next and still get shit done. LOL!

Stopped off Hwy 10 just east of Staples to look at this just out of curiousity.... Am I way off base,,,, isnt this an insane price for the year? Hours? Condition was fair at best. Tires were very wore down.
