Thinking about testing about an acre of a straight planting of Impact Forage Collards in spring. Any one every plant these ? I had them in my yard plot this fall, but the neighbor kid mowed it off. Never got to really see what they could do, but early indicators looked very good. I don't do bought nitrogen, and these got to be decent sized and weren't showing any signs of deficiency. I'll be blowing them into the clover when I do my broadcasting on frozen ground in early April.

Ordered my Impact Forage seed from Green Cover seed. Going to plant the collards as a stand alone in a little less than an acre and see how they do. Hoping to get them planted in late May.

I'll be interested to see how they do Tom. If they can grow for the entire season and not bolt, you should have a shitload of tonnage

If the Collards work, it will enable me to do all my planting in Spring. I'd love to get planting done before it is 75 degrees and unbearable at my place. Hi Catscratch! Yes, 75 is too hot to work.

If the Collards work, it will enable me to do all my planting in Spring. We r on the exact same page! 50lbs is a bunch for sure but I want to try the frost seeding and if that fails follow up with a mid may planting (like u). Then a summer and fall planting. Rnd all in one year
