I did some walking the other day and noticed the Red Osier Dogwood were getting browsed and a few bucks were raking them. Just a great shrub overall !

I have to giggle when I hear guys asking for source for cuttings of ROD. It’s so common around here . But I understand it’s not everywhere.

I knocked down a few trees for a temporary cage and planted the rest of them along a couple of wetland edges. By the time the trees break down hopefully I'll have a red wall established

Once you get a bunch of berry producing shrubs going, you shouldn't have to worry about planting any more. I've got various dogwoods popping up all over the place.

If they spread half as well as the buckthorn does, I’ll be in business.

Transplants are doing well. I’m bringing up another round of them next time I come up.

Transplants are doing well. I’m bringing up another round of them next time I come up. Remind me again what your process was for taking and planting the cuttings? I just snipped and shoved them deep at my place. I haven't had a chance to go look at them since things warmed up.
