When the Kooch was up, we talked about carrying in the woods. I told him I never did cause I was always working on something and didn't want to get the gun dirty. Then he made a really good point. A wolf won't take you down in broad daylight if you're up and moving around healthy, but if you're laying with a leg under a tree for 2-3 nights, that encounter may become more likely. Smart cat that guy. Also, it makes me feel like man. And, it makes me a lot more brave around hibernating bears. That said, I believe the largest threat we face when we trapes around the woods is asshole people, not animals. I'll add, that I'm starting to favor just carrying my little G43 or LCP instead of a .357. I've found them both to be perfectly reliable with the right ammunition. I can't imagine a wolf or a large feral dog wanting to press his luck if he's hit with either. I don't see bears as a threat, certainly not the bear I can see early enough to actually draw on. No, people are the logical threat. Also, it's more convenient to carry a lot of rounds in a spare magazine or two. I don't think I'll get in a gunfight and need a lot of bullets. I CAN envision getting lost or injured and needing to signal with the firearm. If that's the case, I'd like more than five or six rounds.

I'm getting allot of "late breaking" conspiracy stuff about Wiki Leaks dumping all the emails from Hillary and all kinds of bad Karma that is gonna happen to the Dems. Rather than repost and spread rumors......I am gonna sit tight and wait for something more substantial in the news. Some of what I read is "to good to be true"......but what do I know.

I’ve heard the same . Most I’ve ever seen.

wiki purportedly leaked a week ago. That piss likely dried up by now and not worried about.

I don't know which thread was the one where we were discussing social media. So, I'll just leave this here. Twitter account - deactivated. Twitter application - deleted.

Godaddy unregistered ar15.com yesterday for unspecified reasons.
They had to find a new company to register their domain name.

Day 1 without Twitter was easier than day 1 without booze. But, I did catch myself mindlessly thumb stroking my phone trying to open the app.

GoDaddy is joining the purge. AR15.com, the biggest gun forum in the world, was deplatformed on Monday by web hosting company GoDaddy. “ARFCOM IS DOWN. We’ve been booted from GoDaddy and are looking for an alternative solution,” the site announced Monday afternoon on Twitter. thefederalist.com/.../the-biggest-gun-forum.../...

I went there too. reading more...they were given 24 hours to find a new sponsor / provider. I think they did? This was reported on FOX and on the Federalist. Relaiable sources......but I have not found too much on the news. Not much on the main stream news on many of these issues.
