My f250 sold for way more than I thought it would (a few years ago). Checked craigslist and marketplace for a starting point on price. Listed near the high end, first guy to look at it handed me cash. You don’t have rust, should have asked more....

I asked more than I thought I would get. Didn't want stuck with it forever. I think I got lucky and found the right buyer first try.

Was tired of finding stations that had diesel, changing 2 batteries, and expensive filter/fluid (oil, fuel, trans) changes. Plus it was long as hell and a pain in the ass to have in town. I don't mind not having it anymore but it was nice when I needed "big". Now... if I had a diesel mechanic like you posted yesterday local I would still have it and be thrilled every time it broke down.

Doesn’t surprise me the first guy bought it.

I sold my 04 F250 with 345,000 miles for $3900. Still ran great, but had rust. Trucks are expensive right now. You should get either side of $5K. But I would sell it during a big snow storm if it had a plow. Not in the summer. I was thinking about selling it in the spring or next fall. If I can get enough from it to pay for a new plow on a "new to me" F150 I'll be happy.

Everybody wants a boat in the spring, nobody wants one right after season is over. I image a plow would be in demand in the fall like you said. Seldom try to sell right after Christmas when everyone is broke.

Guys find money up here for plow trucks when there is a foot of snow down there 1/4 mile driveway. Christmas or not.

You getting the lightweight job? Yep. All I need it for is my driveway. I go back and forth on limping my F250/plow along for as long as I need a snowplow, and getting a new set up. I need to go with the V8 if I put a plow on a 150. I could go with the 3.6 instead if I don't put a plow on. I think I'd prefer the 3.6. What I'm finding is that apparently the only way to get a snowplow prep package is if it comes from the factory that way. I've yet to find a used truck with that package. If you put a plow on without a factory package, it may void any warranties.
