This year I am focusing on mudminnows and sticklebacks. I will also try stock a BG forage pond on my property. This will most likely need aeration but I think I got that covered. Riggs- What type of traps are you running? Did you buy them or build them? MN Fish, I don't know Jack about pond management but I do know that I've always laughed to myself when I see somebody fishing with a stickleback. Seems like they're pretty low on the forage preference list. What qualities do they have that inspires you to stock them?

In my area and the ponds I work with, stickle's are a preferred forage and a great black crappie bait. They are very easy to trap and a lot of waters have them. It may be a regional thing or the fish environments. Specifically wetland type ponds. Kind of like the deer hammering purple top turnips in some areas and not eating them at all in others.

Stickle backs were worthless for bait on the lake wher My Dad had a resort.
On another lake, they were almost a sure thing for crappies.
