I've been pondering this. Winter is making ODB crazy. He's been watching the LetsDig18 channel nonstop when he's home. He's been asking me what to name the pond if we get it done this year. I had a few ideas, and I thought it might be fun to put out to the group to consider. Here's what we've come up with so far.
Stimulus Lake - we literally threw the money down the hole Lake 21 - the year we went in the hole Capitol Lake - On the surface it looks pretty, but you don't want to know what really goes on Dogwood Strategic Protein Reserve Dogwood Reservoir Lake Liberty - We only answer to ma nature
What do you think? If you had one, what would you want to name it?

I like "Lake 21" just to landmark the year it was built (the mini-excavator plan may put the finish date into 23 though), but with just one lake on your place I picture it being call "The Pond" more than anything else. The big question is what are you going to name the mini-pontoon boat you put on it?

The big question is what are you going to name the mini-pontoon boat you put on it? Don’t know if there will be a pontoon. I suppose if we end up digging all over the property, there may be one. Might become the The Chain at Dogwood if that happens.

That might be the ticket, pond after pond connected by a canal system. We could bow hunt from a johnboat like Rambo. I’d run the cane pole, ODB could run the bow.

Here's the ponds we have via name;
The Watershed
The Pond past the Cattle-guard
The Far East Pond
The Middle Pasture Pond
The little bass Pond
The East Pond we don't fish.
Very original and creative!

We have 2, Lake Marvin named after my late neighbor and Muskrat lake because it’s full of muskrat houses. Both are about 6-8’ deep.

I kinda like Dogwood Lake, the sixth great lake. To remember the names of the six great lakes, the acronym is now HOME-SD
Huron Ontario Michigan Erie Superior Dogwood
