I have done two tiny patches like that. One was a part bag of a Pheasants Forever mix and one was some seed I collected. How have they worked out for you? They look nice, but need to be burned and not a good location to do so.

What's the switch patch looking like in Sept Lee? I've got a 1/3 of an acre patch that I've been prepping the last two years. Hit the green spots again in early September. It's all brown now. I've got Indian Grass, Little Blue, and Big Blue seeds collected from the Nature reserve near by. Might add some pollinators into the mix as well. looking pretty good, other than some thistle I will have to take care of next year. its about 5ft tall

Friday after work I ran to the farm to frost seed a quarter acre of shawnee switchgrass. this is next to a road. Going to see how well it does as a screen."] What was the medium you used to get the seed to spread evenly? I was thinking of using lime. I’ll be slinging seed Sunday I believe.

Nothing actually, switch is like a small oat, not very fluffy at all. Ive heard the other grasses need somthing to spread with

Will you be able to spray that in May at first green up or is it already prepped and dead dead? Should be mostly dead dead. I’ve been spraying it the last two years. I’ll be around in May in case it needs it again

Looks like the area stayed dead for now while surrounding area is greening up. Real test is if any of the right stuff grows
