Think what you want . Doesn’t matter.
Wisconsin and parts of South Dakota are not warmer than MN, and Iowa is NOT a better hunting state because the weather?? Ha ha

Ah yes, the annual futile thread arguing about/dealing with MN deer season structure. A waste of time

I’m just outraged and triggered by it all. Your blatantly obvious disdain for rifle hunters stinks of the white patriarchy.

I’m just happy I live in a state that gets it mostly right.

Sounds like you need sensitivity training. Or white rage. Whatever the woke shit is these days.

"Death by meeting" teaches us that a quality discussion requires conflict. **This is why Foggy and I get so much figured.

Just look at other states in the Midwest, Iowa, SD, Illinois, Missouri, Wisconsin (all good states).. Those states all have a gun season later than Nov 20 and they bow hunt in early November. They don't have an MDHA type political organization that injects politics into management (we base our strategy in MN on tradition) and will not change anything, except add more gun seasons. That is the only thing that ever happens, more gun seasons making it worse yet. Those states don't have the winters we do. Apples to oranges.
From a management stand point there is no reason to have an archery-only season. The archery season was only created because of politics, people wanted it.
It isn’t apples to oranges. It is camo to blaze orange! I am glad this thread took a more humorous bend. No use arguing about it.

We just have to agree to disagree. I’ve made adjustments by hunting out of state . Best advice I received was from a friend is head out of state during the MN gun season. So I usually do.
Not anti-gun at all. But it’s a circus in my area. Can’t escape the craziness. I just wish the circus was later that’s all. Screws up the entire month.

Are you surrounded by neighbors on all sides and corners during the gun season?

Yep, that's the only way you're going to be happy. MN won't be changing season structure/style in favor of buck age management in our lifetimes, if ever. I've learned to just accept the season structure and (lack of) deer management in MN. It is what it is. All I can do is worry about my little chunk of the world.

They shoot at everything that moves, had a bullet probably 150 yards away —Zing through the CRP . Nice guys, and they don’t hunt much besides first 3 days of rifle…but that was the last time I have hunted up there during opening weekend . I like peace and solitude when hunting. Maybe others don’t care about that? But that’s why bow hunting is my passion.
