I think FIMCO could give away those sprayers......cause they get it back over time in repair parts for their junk. Poor plastic parts.....not in the mechanical design....but the materials dont stand up. Spending a few cents more in better plastic materials and / or a few metal parts, would yield a far better product. Adding some way to easily winterize would be a big benefit to longevity too. And the cheap electrical switches and such are just that - cheap.
Of course I am too cheap to buy a better one. Grin.

Dump in tank, turn sprayer on until pink comes out nozzles. If you have wand on sprayer make sure that you also get pink to come out of wand. Takes a couple of minutes. It can't get much easier. This also lubricates seals and pump.

^^^that's what I do with all of my sprayers. Since starting to do that 5 or 6 years ago I don't have to go buy a new hand sprayer or two every spring.

I've had good luck with all of my fimco stuff. Perfect? No. But solid reliable performance.

Been using Fimco for years. Three things, triple rinse them out when you are done, spray straight antifreeze through them when you are done for the year. Always keep a gold series spare pump on hand.

I've had fairly good luck with my fimco boom sprayer. I've had to replace the sprayer check valve a couple times and the pump a time or two, but that's not too bad since I've had it for at least 12 years. The last several years I've sprayed about 24 total acres per year with it so it gets quite a bit of use. I run a lot of water through it after every use and use the straight RV antifreeze in the fall and it seems to work well for me.
I purchased a second Fimco sprayer to use for spraying apple trees since I've been happy with the first.

I replaced the defective parts on my sprayer today and wired both the sprayer and my Herd Seeder into the UTV Battery via some quick connector plugs. Got a little workout on the wiring connections before I got it straight....but my fuses saved the day. I can get allot done with this rig set up as it is.....and it's lots more comfy than riding the wheeler. I do like just leaving it set up as it is for most of the summer.

Well I took the day yesterday and went to my place to spray my soybeans only to find my FIMCO sprayer pump is dead. I got 10 years out of it so I have to give it that but I have had allot of struggles with that sprayer.
I now have to decide if I try and replace the pump or buy a new sprayer. Is there a retail location that sells their pumps (Fleetfarm maybe) or maybe I should try a Northstar sprayer?
I see I can buy a replacement pump at Fleetfarm so that's probably the easiest and quickest route to getting back to spraying.

Fleet farm has pumps( if they are in stock) I just got back from Fleetfarm and my sprayer is a 3.8GPM pump and the new pumps are 4.5 GPM. They have changed where the intake for the pump is and the tank pressures are different so the 4.5 GPM pump won't work. I'll either need to order a pump from the factory or buy a new sprayer. I'll sleep on it and see what I decide.

If not, and the motor runs.....it may not be getting primed. To prime I put compressed air in through the vent hole in the fill cap. Just use a air hose with a blower tip.....works like a charm for hard to prime pumps. I keep Fimco spare parts on the shelf.....but not a pump. Spendy parts

I was mistaken on there being a difference on the intake, they are the same. Looks like I have a solution (Fingers crossed) so Saturday I should be spraying.

One thing to know about is that you can buy the diaphragm unit for the Fimco pump on-line or at places like Mimbach's. I did this once....and saved about $50 or so. Always meant to keep a spare.....'cause it always happens when you need it most.....alas. EVERYTHING mechanical breaks at some point.
