I am the trefoil king. It’s out there. That stuff seems to laugh it’s way thru this dry weather. I’m excited to see how this pans out.

The spot with all those logs on the ground is normally a foot of mud in August. In Spring the water is deeper than my knee boots.
This would have been the year to put in the little culvert. But, the budget is tapped out for now.

I stopped to take a pic of that wild parsnip. Just a few feet away was a great sample of the road ditches up by me. Best food plot in the County goes to the county. The ditches are full of trefoil, sweet clover, and red clover. There seems to be BFTF everywhere this year.

Trefoil is still alive. The clover that was there is cooked. Maybe with cooler weather and rain starting again it’ll rebound. I probably should have never mowed it. Looking rough.

My plot roast in the summer too. Looks awful but comes back with cool weather. Big plus for diversity shown right there kooch... some plants handle different conditions better than others.

Ordered a couple of pounds from the local CO-OP yesterday. Will probably throw a pound into some mix this fall, and maybe another pound in a stand alone plot just to see what happens.

I think I put on two pounds over my 1.5 acres. Just enough to be represented. I'm ok with waiting until next year to see the vetch, alfalfa, clover, and rye really get going, but this 2 years for BFTF is stretching my patience.

Notice the other name? Deer vetch! I don’t think many like any non native clover.
