Then last year my buddy comes out and kills a whopper last year a hundred yards from where this buck is now standing. May have to throw a few stands up again. Lol

Maybe MN is turning the corner some. I have not seen back to back good bucks on this farm in 25 years. Stu is sure posting some nice bucks the past few years as well as some of you other guys. Have things changed here?

Have things changed here?I only know what goes on in my little chunk of the world. That said, things have changed significantly for me since 2012. I'm never going to say there are "too many" deer, but there sure is a lot of them here now

I feel you have to have good numbers of deer to increase your chances of seeing the exceptional buck.
Hold on and deer numbers will soon get whacked.

I often wonder how current events are affecting deer. We came off a mild winter, that seems a huge plus. I've even got twins running around out here. I wonder how the drought is affecting where deer bed, what they're eating, etc. I also wonder if last year's boom crowd for deer season will return, or if people will say the hell with it and go back to doing city things.

In the areas I hunt, hunting pressure has been down as compared to 10-20 years ago. It is mostly private land.

I haven't got a pic of the buck I started this thread with for over month now. This guy shows up most every card pull. If he could survive another year or three he might turn into a beast.

That's a nice one Stu. I haven't had a buck photo since May. I'm hoping the ladies draw some in for November.
