We planted MDHA corn seed back there one year and it ended up being silage corn. It was 14 feet tall and we didn’t have much for ripe corn. Can’t tell you how many guys get screwed every year by MDHA and the NTF on so called free corn. It’s been great for my business. Lol And one year, there were mixed bags of RR and none RR.

Lol

Different soils, different results.

^After this week my corn will be wilted beyond repair. Unless there is a miracle I’m thinking it will be close to a total loss. Glad I don’t make a living at this.

I have one friend who is considering selling his registered beef herd. I hope my neighboring dairymen have enough feed and water. One of them is adding water from the home well to his dairy herd.

I have relatives west of Henning and they are also considering on selling off all the angus. They dont have the food to keep them going.
ugh.
The dairy farmer family friends by our farm have already bought 15k in hay in prep for what might be to come. And they are looking to get more.
Sure glad I have a half angus coming in 3 weeks from our neighbor next to our farm!!!!!!!!!(splitting that with a friend)
This year is getting to be a lot like the 87/88 drought. But not that bad yet. Its getting there.

They're haying sloughs that haven't been cut since I've lived here. There will be a lot of livestock sold soon I think.

Most everything I have planted is pretty much eaten to the dirt, dormant, or wilted to nothing. I looked around the neighborhood yesterday.....unless fields are irrigated, most of the crops are a total loss.

Most of the deer sign is along waterways and down in the tag alders.
