Just got this email from one of our seed suppliers. Be prepared for a lot higher prices if you can find the seed you want.
To our valued customers,
Twin City Seed appreciates being your trusted supplier of agricultural and turf grass seed products. We take great pride in educating our customers in all the factors that may affect the success of their seeding efforts. That is why we’re reaching out to you today to share this letter from the Oregon Seed Association (OSA). Due to several factors — as highlighted in their letter below — seed supply for the next one to two years will be significantly reduced. This decreased supply coupled with an increased demand (again, highlighted below) have caused seed prices to rise steeply. It is rare for the OSA to send a letter like this, and I thought it important to get it in front of you as soon as I could.
As a result, we encourage you to reflect on your seed needs for 2022, and to consider placing your order and purchasing your seed now or by the end of the year to avoid experiencing the higher prices that are beginning to hit the market now. We have stock and can hold prices for a period, but we expect prices will continue to climb. We are happy to discuss your needs and what will work best for your business.
Twin City Seed thanks you for your support. We look forward to working with you through the potentially challenging time ahead and to continuing to be your seed supplier of choice.
Sincerely, Image
Paul Kubista, Owner • Twin City Seed Co.

Mo, u think a guy has to order before prevent plant May happen, or even get next years seed this fall? I bought the majority of my seed last December when most were on sale. Now a lot was BOB but whatever. I will probably make an order this fall for next year to be on the safe side. I shouldn’t need near as much as this year after turning a few plots into perennial.

If everything works like I hope it's going to, I'll only need two bags of winter wheat, and two bags of spring wheat next year. We all know that's BS as soon as I utter it, but if the apocalypse hits, that's all I'd really have to have.
Can I get a 'Whoa Bundy' for perennials?

Just heard on the radio Potash will be 80 to 100 dollars more per acre for 2022. There was something else mentioned thats going up signifcantly for farmers but I forget. I cant imagine the input costs next year.

Well as I said toilet paper was 400 sheets per roll before Biden. I saw some for 142 sheets per roll. Inflation is here.

I also got enough primers and bullets to shoot my way through Armageddon....and / or a Zombie invasion. . I'm what you might call a Prepper. lol....I bought dozens of N95 masks about 5 years ago....and gave them to my family for Christmas. They laughed at me.....until Covid happened. . Then they changed their tune. Grin.

I bought masks years ago too. They were right where I left them when all this went down. I handed out a few to my neighbors. They were stumped. How did you get these?
